EOBI Contribution Collection Reaches Rs63.15 Billion in FY2026
EOBI collected approximately Rs63.15 billion in contributions during July 2025 to March 2026, according to the Pakistan Economic Survey 2025–26.
The official data shows an increase of about 11.47% compared with the corresponding reported figure of Rs56.65 billion.
How much of the annual target was achieved?
EOBI’s annual contribution target for FY2026 was reported at approximately Rs92 billion. By the end of March, contribution collection had reached about 68.64% of the annual target.
The remaining gap to the annual target was approximately Rs28.85 billion.
Why contribution collection matters
EOBI depends on contribution income as one of the main sources used to finance pension obligations. Stronger collection can improve cash flow and reduce pressure on investment income.

How does collection compare with pension spending?
During July–March FY2026, EOBI reported total pension disbursement of about Rs54.29 billion. That included old-age, survivor and invalidity pensions as well as old-age grants.
Long-term sustainability remains an important issue, which is why EOBI has also initiated a new actuarial valuation in 2026.
What can improve contribution collection?
Potential improvements include bringing more employers into active compliance, maintaining accurate employee records and resolving disputes over assessment procedures.
Recent court scrutiny of contribution assessments is covered in our Lahore High Court EOBI contribution ruling.
Final words
The 11.47% increase in contribution collection is a positive sign, but EOBI still had a substantial gap to its full-year target at the end of March 2026.
