Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) was founded on 15 April 1976 to provide financial assistance to retired employees across Pakistan. EOBI’s responsibility is to ensure retirees are treated with dignity and security after their employment ends.
The Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Ministry operates EOBI, which provides pension benefits to those who contributed to its fund during their active years. Employers contribute mandatory pension contributions to the fund, while voluntary contributions enhance pension benefits further.
Since its founding in 1976, EOBI has undergone significant transformations, adapting to retiree needs and becoming digitalized to better serve its members.
